New for 2018, Hunter Soccer introduces Player Performance Clinics (PPC). These training sessions will focus on improving core soccer skills for the developing soccer player.
Our first PPC will be a Winter Ball Mastery Clinic. Ball control is the most important core skill that the young player must focus on. Our Ball Mastery Clinic consists of 16 training sessions aimed at improving individual and collective basic ball control techniques as well as passing accuracy under pressure. Players will learn to apply skills effectively on the field. Below is the clinic curriculum.
Players will be assessed at the beginning of the clinic, midway, and at the end of 8 weeks. Evaluations will be made available to parents.
The Winter Ball Mastery Clinic is for Boys with 2010 & 2009 Birth Years. The clinic is designed for Intramural players considering joining our Travel program in 2018 as well those who are on Hunter U9 Boys Travel Teams.
Instruction will be led by highly experienced trainers from Futbol24 Soccer Academy.

The 2018 program will start in September (after Labor Day) and run through mid-November. Matches are played on Saturdays at Penbryn Park and around the Glenside area. Our popular recreational soccer program is designed for the developing player as well as those who enjoy playing soccer on a seasonal basis.
The program is open to boys and girls who are at least 3 years old on September 1st, 2018.
Further details on our 2018 Intramural program will be published on this page over the winter. Online registration will open in March, 2018.
The Hunter Intramural soccer program is geared towards the beginner player (at the Pee-Wee/Pre-K level) as well as older boys and girls who enjoy playing recreational soccer. We offer the most popular intramural soccer program in the Glenside/Abington/Jenkintown area, with over 1,000 children enrolled annually.
The emphasis of our intramural program is foundational soccer skills development and an introduction to competitive match play. Hunter Soccer provides a safe and fun environment for your child to learn and enjoy the exciting game of soccer.
The intramural program runs from mid-September to mid-November. Intramural teams are formed by the club at the beginning of September, who then play in an age/gender specific in-house league. Unlike travel soccer, teams do not travel to play against teams from other clubs.
Matches take place on Saturdays. Teams also train during the week (with the exception of Pee-Wees, who train and play on Saturdays). All intramural matches take place at our Penbryn field complex and other nearby fields.
Parent volunteers coach the intramural teams. Led by our dedicated Intramural Coordinators, working in conjunction with our Coach and Player Development Chairs, Hunter Soccer Club encourages minimum standards for all our coaches. This does not mean that volunteer coaches must meet a minimum standard to begin coaching an intramural team. We warmly welcome volunteers and offer free coach training by highly qualified instructors.
Our goal is to have parent-volunteer coaches who can provide informed, quality instruction, while maintaining an atmosphere of fun and healthy competition. This proven approach provides the intramural player with a developmental experience that is both fun and challenging.
Coaching your son or daughter is a highly rewarding experience!
All Hunter Soccer Club coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers must submit valid Background Clearances to the club. This applies to both Intramural and Travel coaches. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
