Player Development

SUMMER SELECT TRYOUTS: FRIDAY, MAY 3rd FROM 6:30-7:30 PM AT PENBRYN PARK

Our new player development program is called Hunter Select. It provides both individual Travel and Intramural players the opportunity to develop advanced ball control skills on either a seasonal or full year basis. Players can sign up for 8 training sessions per season (Summer, Winter, Spring), led by our professional trainers from Futbol24. All players who enroll in the Hunter Select program must attend a tryout and if accepted into the program, they will train together in an academy style setting.

These training sessions are entirely supplemental to the training that the players already receive on their Travel or Intramural teams. At the end of each 8 training session season, players will play together on a Hunter Select Tournament Team in 2 high-level soccer tournaments in our region.

Hunter Select is ONLY available to players registered in HSC's Travel and Intramural programs. Playing Hunter Select is an in additional program, so it will not interfere with your child’s current team activities.

Teams are now forming for Boys and Girls for the Summer Select teams in the following age groups: U10/U11/U12/U13 

The cost of Hunter Select is $400 per player and includes: 

• 8 training sessions (1 hr15 min each session)  
• Two tournaments in May and June   
  • 2019 EDP Summer Classic: (Boys and Girls June 15-16) Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ 
  • 2019 PA Classics Mid-Atlantic Cup: (Boys June 22-23) (Girls June 29-30) Manheim, PA 
• Hunter Select Uniform

Refund of the $400 Hunter Select program registration fee will be granted as follows. There are no other exceptions:

• If your child withdraws before attending the tryout - $400 - Full Refund.
• If your child withdraws during the tryout- $400 - Full Refund.
• If your child skips the tryout- $400 - Full Refund.
• If there are not enough players to form a Hunter Select team - $400 - Full Refund.
• If your child is offered a Hunter Select roster spot and you DECLINE at the time offered- $375($25 processing fee deducted from registration). A parent must make a decision when offered a roster spot on a Hunter Select Team. "I'm not sure", "Need to think about it," etc. will be treated as a Decline.
• If you accept a Hunter Select roster spot and then subsequently decline, there is NO REFUND.
• If your child joins a Hunter Select team and subsequently leaves the team, there is NO REFUND.
